My journey into beekeeping started with a Christmas gift from my sister in 2023: a beekeeping course. That gift opened up a whole new interest for me, and I’ve been learning about bees ever since. After finishing the course and getting things ready, I welcomed my own bees to my garden in the summer of 2024.
It’s been a rewarding experience to watch these insects and their busy hives. I spend time with my bees to make sure they’re healthy and doing well. They’re not just making honey; they also play an important role in our local area, helping to pollinate the plants and flowers around us.
The First Sweet Harvest
I had my first honey harvest on May 31st, 2025. It was satisfying to see the honey after all the work the bees and I put in. My bees collect nectar and pollen from the various plants in Pfaffenhofen, which gives the honey its own unique taste. I carefully harvest the honey myself, making sure it’s good quality. If you’re interested in buying a jar of local Pfaffenhofen honey, please feel free to send me an e-mail. Each jar of 500g honey costs 7€. Please note that all honey orders are for pick-up only from me in Pfaffenhofen.
Thank you for supporting local beekeeping and enjoying the sweetness from nature!
